Hadith 6235

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ إِِلا يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ، فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا ، إِِلا مَرْيَمَ ابْنَةَ عِمْرَانَ وَابْنَهَا ، إِِنْ شِئْتُمُ اقْرَؤُوا : وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ سورة آل عمران آية 36 " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every child that is born is touched by Satan, because of which he cries out loudly, except for the daughter of Imran, Lady Maryam, and her son (Sayyiduna Isa, peace be upon him); this did not happen to them. If you wish, you may recite this verse: 'Indeed, I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from the accursed Satan.'"
