أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لأَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ : " لا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِِلا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ ، فَلا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to those passing through the settlement of Hijr: Enter the area of this punished nation weeping, lest the same punishment that befell them also befall you.
