أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : مَرَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحِجْرِ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ إِِلا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ ، حَذَرًا أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ " ، ثُمَّ رَحَلَ فَأَسْرَعَ حَتَّى خَلَّفْهَا .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: We passed by the place of "Hijr" along with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to us: Enter the dwellings of those people who wronged themselves while weeping, fearing that the same punishment may befall you as befell them. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) hastened his pace and passed quickly through that valley.
