Hadith 6191

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِِلا وَلَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ : بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَاهُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ، وَبِطَانَةٌ لا تَأْلُوهُ خَبَالا ، فَمَنْ وُقِيَ شَرَّهَا ، فَقَدْ وُقِيَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "With every prophet there are two angels, one of whom commands him to do good and forbids him from evil, and the other does not care about anything. So whoever is protected from his evil has indeed been saved (from corruption)."
