Hadith 6168

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ ، فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ ، وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Souls are like assembled troops; those among them who became acquainted with one another (in the realm of souls) are inclined towards each other in this world as well, and those who did not become acquainted with one another remain distant from each other in this world too."
