أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ : " خَلَقَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى التُّرْبَةَ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ ، وَخَلَقَ فِيهَا الْجِبَالَ يَوْمَ الأَحَدِ ، وَخَلَقَ الشَّجَرَ يَوْمَ الاثْنَيْنِ ، وَخَلَقَ الْمَكْرُوهَ يَوْمَ الثُّلاثَاءِ ، وَخَلَقَ النُّورَ يَوْمَ الأَرْبِعَاءِ ، وَبَثَّ فِيهَا الدَّوَابَّ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ ، وَخَلَقَ آدَمَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ آخِرِ الْخَلْقِ مِنْ آخِرِ السَّاعَةِ مِنْ سَاعَاتِ الْجُمُعَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took my hand and said, "Allah Almighty created the soil (that is, the earth) on Saturday, on Sunday He created the mountains in the earth, on Monday He created the trees, on Tuesday He created the disliked things, on Wednesday He created light, on Thursday He spread the animals in the earth, and Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was created on Friday after Asr; He created the last of creation in the last hour of Friday."
