Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know where the sun goes? The people replied: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It keeps moving until it reaches its appointed place under the Throne, then it falls into prostration and remains in that state until it is said to it: Raise your head and return to where you came from. So it returns and rises from its place of rising. Then it comes again until it reaches its appointed place under the Throne, then it falls into prostration and remains in the state of prostration until it is said to it: Raise your head and return to where you came from. So it returns and rises from its appointed place. Then it comes and reaches its appointed place under the Throne and falls into prostration, then remains in that state until it is said to it: Raise your head and return to where you came from. It returns and rises from its appointed place, then it keeps moving. People do not see anything wrong in this, until one time it will reach its appointed place under the Throne and it will be said to it: Raise your head and rise from the west. So it will rise from the west. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Do you know when this will happen? It will be at a time when faith will not benefit anyone who did not believe before, nor anyone who did not earn good through his faith.

(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Ishaq has narrated this hadith in the same way from Yunus bin Ubaid from Ibrahim Taimi, although it is well known that this narration is transmitted from Yunus bin Khabbab from Ibrahim Taimi.
