Hadith 6147

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِنَّ لِلَّهَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ ، أَنْزَلَ مِنْهَا رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِِنْسِ وَالْبَهَائِمِ ، فَبِهَا يَتَعَاطَفُونَ ، وَبِهَا يَتَرَاحَمُونَ ، وَبِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوحُوشُ عَلَى أَوْلادِهَا ، وَأَخَّرَ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً ، يَرْحَمُ بِهَا عِبَادَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has one hundred mercies. Out of these, He has sent down one mercy among the jinn, humans, and animals. Because of this mercy, they show kindness to one another, and because of it, they have compassion for each other. Even wild animals are merciful to their offspring because of it. Allah has kept back ninety-nine mercies, with which He will show mercy to His servants on the Day of Resurrection."
