Hadith 6137

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى الْفُضَيْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ ، وَلا مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِحْرٍ ، وَلا قَاطِعٌ " ، هُوَ الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person who habitually drinks alcohol will not enter Paradise, nor will one who believes in magic, nor one who severs the ties of kinship (enter Paradise)." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator's name is Fudayl bin Maysarah.
