Hadith 6102

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرِ مُكْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : " رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the Banu Amr bin Awf to perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) for snake bites.
