Hadith 6087

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَقَّارِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عن النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنِ اكْتَوَى أَوِ اسْتَرْقَى فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِنَ التَّوَكُّلِ " .
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever gets cauterized (as a treatment) or practices incantations (according to the customs of the Age of Ignorance) becomes detached from reliance (on Allah).”
