Sayyiduna Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A believer's dream is one forty-sixth part of prophethood, and the dream remains as it is until its interpretation is given. When its interpretation is given, (then it occurs) according to that interpretation."
(The narrator says:) I think these words are also in the narration: A person should only relate his dream to someone who is dear to him or someone who is intelligent (knowledgeable).
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The correct version is that this word is with 'Ha' (ح), as Husayn has narrated it. Shu’bah made a mistake in narrating the word as 'Adas', and people followed him in this matter.
