Hadith 6029

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلْحِقُوا الْمَالَ بِالْفَرَائِضِ ، فَمَا أَبْقَتِ الْفَرَائِضُ فَلأَوْلَى رَجُلٍ ذَكَرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give the prescribed shares to those who are entitled to them, and whatever remains after that will go to the closest male relative."
