Hadith 6028

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عن النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلْحِقُوا الْمَالَ بِالْفَرَائِضِ ، فَمَا تَرَكَتِ الْفَرَائِضُ فَلأَوْلَى رَجُلٍ ذَكَرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Give the wealth to those entitled to fixed shares, and whatever remains after the fixed shares, it will go to the closest male relative."
