Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the people about the child in the womb, so Haml bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and informed: I had two wives, one of them struck the other and killed both the woman and the child in her womb. Regarding this, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled that as compensation, a slave man or woman should be given, and he also ruled that the woman should be killed in retaliation for the murdered woman.
