Hadith 5998

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا قَاتَلَ رَجُلا فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ ، فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ ؟ ! وَأَبْطَلَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man quarreled with another and bit his hand (the other pulled his hand away), so his front teeth fell out. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does one of you bite like a camel bites? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) declared (the loss of his teeth) to be without compensation.
