Hadith 5989

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَجُلا مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ خَرَجَتْ بِهِ قُرْحَةٌ ، فَلَمَّا آذَتْهُ انْتَزَعَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ ، فَنَكَأَهَا ، فَلَمْ يَرْقَأْ دَمُهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ ، فَقَالَ رَبُّكُمْ : " قَدْ حَرَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ " ، ثُمَّ مَدَّ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالَ : إِي وَاللَّهِ ، لَقَدْ حَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا جُنْدُبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيُّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ .
Hasan al-Basri narrates: In earlier times, a man developed a boil. When its pain increased, the man took an arrow from his quiver and cut it open. Its blood did not stop, until the man died. Then your Lord said: I make Paradise forbidden for him. After this, Hasan al-Basri stretched his hand towards the mosque and said: By Allah! This hadith was narrated by Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in this mosque.
