Hadith 5985

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِ ، عن النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ، وَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمُ الأُمَمَ ، فَلا تَقْتَتِلُنَّ بَعْدِي " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : الصُّنَابِحِ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ ، وَالصُّنَابِحِيُّ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ .
Sayyiduna Sanabi‘ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "I will precede you at the Hawd (Pond of Kawthar), and I will boast of your multitude before the other nations, so do not kill one another after me (or do not quarrel among yourselves)." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Sayyiduna Sanabi‘ah (may Allah be pleased with him) is among the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and Sanabihi is among the Tabi‘in.
