أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ السُّدِّيُّ ، عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ الْفِتْيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَمِقِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَمِنَ رَجُلا عَلَى دَمِهِ ثُمَّ قَتَلَهُ ، فَأَنَا مِنَ الْقَاتِلِ بَرِيءٌ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمَقْتُولُ كَافِرًا " ، قَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : فِتْيَانُ بَطْنٌ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ ، وَقِتْبَانُ سَكَنُهُ بِمِصْرَ .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Humaq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever grants safety to another person regarding his life and then kills him, I am free from the killer, even if the person killed was a disbeliever." Shaykh Abu Hatim states: Faqitiyan is a branch of the Bajilah tribe, and the people of Qutban (tribe) live in Egypt.
