Hadith 5977

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عن النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لا يَحِلُّ دَمُ مُسْلِمٍ إِلا بِإِحْدَى ثَلاثٍ : النَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ ، وَالثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي ، وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The blood of any Muslim is lawful in only one of three cases: a life for a life, a married adulterer, and a person who abandons his religion and separates from the (Muslim) community."
