Hadith 5942

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعِينُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ كَمَثَلِ بَعِيرٍ تَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَهُوَ يُنْزَعُ مِنْهَا بِذَنَبِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever helps his people in an unjust matter, his example is like that of a camel which falls into a well and is then pulled out by its tail."
