Hadith 5934

أَخْبَرَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى بِخُوَارِ الرِّيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْبِسْطَامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الطَّبَّاعِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَغْلَقُ الرَّهْنُ ، لَهُ غُنْمُهُ ، وَعَلَيْهِ غُرْمُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A pledge is not binding unless its benefit goes to the person and its liability remains upon him."
