Hadith 5922

أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ : مَا كَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الأُضْحِيَّةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَرْبَعٌ لا تَجُوزُ فِي الأَضْحَى : الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا ، وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَرَجُهَا ، وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا ، وَالْكَسِيرُ الَّتِي لا تُنْقِي " .
Ubaid bin Firoz reports: I asked Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), "Which animals did the Prophet (peace be upon him) dislike for sacrifice?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The sacrifice of four types of animals is not permissible: a one-eyed animal whose defect is obvious, a lame animal whose lameness is obvious, a sick animal whose sickness is obvious, and an animal whose leg is broken and which has no marrow in its body.'"
