Hadith 591

أَخْبَرَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ أَرْكِينَ الْفَرْغَانِيُّ ، بِدِمَشْقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا قَعَدَ قَوْمٌ مَقْعَدًا لا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِيهِ وَيُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ إِلا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَإِنْ أُدْخِلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لِلثَّوَابِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whenever some people gather at a place and do not remember Allah there, nor do they send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), then this will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection, even if they are admitted into Paradise for reward."
