Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have been commanded to fight with the people until they bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. And when they bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, they face our Qiblah, eat our slaughtered animals, and perform prayer according to our way, then their lives and wealth will become inviolable for us. They will have all the rights that Muslims have, and all the obligations that are upon Muslims will be imposed upon them."
This narration from Humaid Tawil has only been transmitted by three people: Abdullah bin Mubarak, Yahya bin Ayyub ‘Ajli, and Muhammad bin ‘Isa bin Qasim bin Samī‘.
