Hadith 5887

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ " أَنَّهُ صَادَ أَرْنَبَيْنِ ، فَذَبَحَهُمَا بِمَرْوَةٍ ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُ بِأَكْلِهِمَا " .
Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Safwan Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He hunted two rabbits and slaughtered them with a stone. Then he asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted him to eat both of them.
