أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَاضِرَ بْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِ أَبَا عِيسَى الْبَاهِلِيَّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ ذِئْبًا نَيَّبَ فِي شَاةٍ ، فَذَبَحُوهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ ، فَسَأَلُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَكْلِهَا فَأَكَلُوا " .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once a wolf dug its claws into a goat (injured it), so the people slaughtered the goat with a stone. The people asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and he permitted them to eat the meat of that goat, so the people ate it.
