Hadith 5817

أَخْبَرَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَزَّارُ بِوَاسِطَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي تَمِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ اسْمِي وَكُنْيَتِي ، أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ، اللَّهُ يُعْطِي ، وَأَنَا أَقْسِمُ " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : سَمِعَ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ ابْنُ عَجْلانَ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ وَأَبِيهِ ، وَهُمَا ثِقَتَانِ ، وَالطَّرِيقَانِ جَمِيعًا مَحْفُوظَانِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not combine my name and my kunyah. I am Abu al-Qasim. Allah gives, and I distribute."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration has been heard by Ibn ‘Ajlan from Makbari and from his father, both. Both narrators are trustworthy, and both chains of this narration are preserved.
