Hadith 5801

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَادٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ : أَنْجَشَةُ ، وَكَانَ حَسَنَ الصَّوْتِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رُوَيْدَكَ يَا أَنْجَشَةُ ، لا تَكْسِرِ الْقَوَارِيرَ " ، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : يَعْنِي ضَعَفَةَ النِّسَاءِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had a camel driver whose name was Anjasha. His voice was beautiful. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Anjasha! Drive slowly, do not break the glass vessels." Qatadah says: By this, he meant the weak women.
