Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The brother of Abu Qais, Aflaḥ, once sought permission to enter after the command of hijab had been revealed. So I said: By Allah, I will not give him permission until I seek permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding him. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The brother of Abu Qais, Aflaḥ, sought permission to enter upon me, so I refused to give him permission until I seek your permission. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why did you not give permission to your uncle to enter? Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The man did not breastfeed me, his wife breastfed me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is your uncle, you should have given him permission to enter, may your hands be dusted. Urwah narrates: For this reason, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to say: Due to suckling, you should consider unlawful those things which are considered unlawful due to lineage.
