Hadith 5785

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ النَّاسِ فِرْيَةً اثْنَانِ : شَاعِرٌ يَهْجُو الْقَبِيلَةَ بِأَسْرِهَا ، وَرَجُلٌ انْتَفَى مِنْ أَبِيهِ " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The greatest liars among people are of two types: one is the poet who satirizes a tribe, and the other is the person who denies his father (his lineage).
