Hadith 5764

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى مَوْلَى جَعْدَةَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ فُلانَةً ذَكَرَ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ صَلاتِهَا ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا تُؤْذِي بِلِسَانِهَا ، قَالَ : " فِي النَّارِ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ فُلانَةً ذَكَرَ مِنْ قِلَّةِ صَلاتِهَا وَصِيَامِهَا ، وَأَنَّهَا تَصَدَّقَتْ بِأَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا لا تُؤْذِي جِيرَانَهَا ، قَالَ : " هِيَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Such-and-such woman is like this," and he mentioned her abundance of voluntary prayers, and said: "But she harms others with her tongue." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She will go to Hell." He said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), such-and-such woman is like this," then he mentioned her few prayers and fasts, and said: "She gives pieces of cheese in charity and does not harm her neighbors." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She will go to Paradise."
