Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah Almighty than the weak believer, though both are upon goodness. Be eager for that which benefits you, seek help from Allah regarding it, and do not be helpless. If any harm befalls you, do not say: 'If I had done such and such (then such and such would have happened),' but rather say: 'This was the decree of Allah Almighty; whatever He willed, He did,' because the word 'if' opens the door to the actions of Satan."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) There is a possibility that Ibn ‘Ajlan heard this narration from A‘raj, and he heard it from A‘raj on the authority of Muhammad bin Yahya, so once he narrated it on his authority, and another time he narrated it on the authority of another person.
