Ahnaf bin Qais narrates the statement of his uncle, Sayyiduna Jariyah bin Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with him): He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me something by which Allah will benefit me, and tell me a brief statement so that I do not become heedless of it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not become angry." He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question several times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept giving him the same answer every time: "Do not become angry."
