Hadith 5667

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَنَّ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " تُعْرَضُ أَعْمَالُ النَّاسِ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ : يَوْمَ الاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ ، فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ ، إِلا عَبْدًا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ ، فَيُقَالُ : اتْرُكُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَفِيئَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : هَذَا فِي الْمُوَطَّأِ مَوْقُوفٌ مَا رَفَعَهُ عَنْ مَالِكٍ إِلا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The deeds of people are presented (before Allah Almighty) twice a week: on Monday and on Thursday. Then forgiveness is granted to every believing person, except for the servant who is harboring enmity with his brother. It is commanded: Leave the matter of these two as it is until they reconcile (i.e., make peace with each other)."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration is transmitted as a mawquf narration in the 'Muwatta'. Only Ibn Wahb has transmitted this narration as a marfu' hadith from Imam Malik.
