Hadith 566

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْفَرَّاءُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا تَحَابَّ اثْنَانِ فِي اللَّهِ ، إِلا كَانَ أَفْضَلَهُمَا أَشَدُّهُمَا حُبًّا لِصَاحِبِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whenever two people love each other for the sake of Allah, then the better of the two is the one who has more intense love for his companion."
