أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ بِعُكْبَرَا ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَنَزِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَعُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِ أَرْبَعَةٍ : الْهُدْهُدِ ، وَالصُّرَدِ ، وَالنَّمْلَةِ ، وَالنَّحْلَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the killing of four creatures: the hoopoe, the shrike, the ant, and the honeybee.
