Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, he became ill. His companions also became ill. The slave of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), Amir bin Fuhairah, and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) also became ill. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) sought permission to visit them for inquiry. When she was granted permission, she said to Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him): How are you? He replied: Every person is present in his house, yet death is closer to him than the strap of his sandal. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked Amir bin Fuhairah, and he replied: I have felt death even before tasting it, and a coward dies a natural death. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) inquired about the condition of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he replied: "Alas! Will I ever spend a night on a path where around me will be Idhkhir and Jalil (specific grasses of Makkah)?" Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) went to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and informed him about the responses of these individuals. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) raised his gaze towards the sky and made this supplication: "O Allah, make Madinah Munawwarah as beloved to us as You made Makkah beloved to us, or even more intensely beloved. O Allah! Bless us in its Sa’ and its Mudd, and transfer its disease to Mahya’ah."
(The narrator states) By this is meant Juhfah.
