Hadith 5590

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاقِدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَبِيتَنَّ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ امْرَأَةٍ فِي بَيْتٍ ، إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ نَاكِحًا ، أَوْ ذَا مَحْرَمٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No man should ever spend the night at a woman's place in her house, except in the case where her husband or a mahram relative (is also present in the house)."
