Hadith 5577

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ مُوسَى عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى فَرْجِ امْرَأَتِهِ ، فَقَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا عَطَاءً ، فَقَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ اغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَحِبِّي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ ، تَخْتَلِفُ فِيهِ أَكُفُّنَا ، وَأَشَارَتْ إِلَى إِنَاءٍ فِي الْبَيْتِ قَدْرَ سِتَّةِ أَقْسَاطٍ " .
Utbah bin Abu Hakim narrates: He asked Sulaiman bin Musa about a person who looks at his wife's private part, so Sulaiman replied, "I asked Ata about this, and he said, 'I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about this.' So Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, 'The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and I used to perform ghusl from the same vessel, in which our hands would enter one after the other.'
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) pointed towards a vessel present in the house while saying this, whose capacity was as much as 8 qist."
