Hadith 5548

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ النَّوْمِ قَبْلَهَا ، وَالْحَدِيثِ بَعْدَهَا ، يَعْنِي عِشَاءَ الآخِرَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade sleeping before this (Isha prayer) and talking after it. The narrator meant the Isha prayer.
