Hadith 5540

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ ، قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَكَفَانَا ، فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لا كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلا مُؤْوِيَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go to bed, he would recite this: "All praise is due to Allah who has fed us, given us drink, and sufficed us, for how many are there who have no one to suffice them, no one to give them shelter."
