Hadith 5523

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبِي ، وَحَدَّثَنِي الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا اضْطَجَعَ لِيَنَامَ ، وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى تَحْتَ خَدِّهِ الأَيْمَنِ ، وَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ ، يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ " .
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): When he would lie down to sleep, he would place his blessed right hand under his blessed right cheek and would recite this supplication: “O Allah! Save me from Your punishment on the Day when You will resurrect Your servants.”
