Hadith 5466

أَخْبَرَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ابْنِ بِنْتِ تَمِيمِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَصِرِ بِوَاسِطَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرُ بْنُ الْكُرْدِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النخعي ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ ، وَلا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوْبُهُ حَسَنًا ، وَنَعْلُهُ حَسَنَةً ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ ، الْكِبْرُ مَنْ بَطِرَ الْحَقَّ ، وَغَمَصَ النَّاسَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person who has faith equal to the weight of a particle in his heart will not enter Hell. A person who has arrogance equal to the weight of a particle in his heart will not enter Paradise." A man asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! A person likes that his clothes should be good and his shoes should be good." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance is to reject the truth and to look down upon people."
