Hadith 5453

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ " يُصَلِّي مَحْلُولا إِزَارُهُ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي كَذَلِكَ " .
Zaid bin Aslam narrates that he saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) performing prayer with his button open. I asked him about this, and he replied: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performing prayer in this manner.
