Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade wearing two types of clothing. As for “ishtimal as-samma’,” it means: a person wraps a garment around himself in such a way that both its ends are on his shoulders and his side is exposed. The second is: a person wraps a garment around himself in the manner of “ihtiba’” in such a way that no part of the garment covers his private parts.
