ذكر الأمر بلبس البياض من الثياب إذ البيض منها خير الثياب-Instruction to Wear White Clothes as They Are the Best
Hadith 5423

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ ، وَإِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الإِثْمِدَ ، يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ ، وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wear white clothes and shroud your dead in white clothes, for they are the best of your clothes. And among your kohl, the best is ithmid, for it sharpens the eyesight and grows the hair.
