Hadith 5405

أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْعَابِدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِوَفْدِ عَبْدِ قَيْسٍ : " أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنِ النَّقِيرِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ ، وَالْحَنْتَمِ ، وَالدُّبَّاءِ ، وَالْمَزَادَةِ الْمَجْبُوبَةِ ، وَاشْرَبْ فِي سِقَائِكَ ، وَأَوْكِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the delegation of the tribe of Abdul Qais: I forbid you from Naqit, Mughīr Hanṭam, Diyā’, and a specific type of water skin. Drink from your water skins and keep their mouths closed.
