Hadith 5384

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ ، فَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْخَمْرِ وِشِرَائِهِ وَالتِّجَارَةِ فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : أَمُسْلِمُونَ أَنْتُمْ ، قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّهُ لا يَصْلُحُ بَيْعُهُ ، وَلا شِرَاؤُهُ ، وَلا التِّجَارَةُ فِيهِ لِمُسْلِمٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ مِنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ ، مَثَلُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ ، فَلَمْ يَأْكُلُوهَا ، فَبَاعُوهَا ، وَأَكَلُوا أَثْمَانَهَا ، ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ عَنِ الطِّلاءِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : وَمَا طِلاؤُكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي تُسْأَلُونَ عَنْهُ ؟ قَالُوا : هَذَا الْعِنَبُ يُطْبَخُ ، ثُمَّ يُجْعَلُ فِي الدِّنَانِ ، قَالَ : وَمَا الدِّنَانُ ؟ قَالُوا : دِنَانٌ مُقَيِّرَةٌ ، قَالَ : أَيُسْكِرُ ؟ قَالُوا : إِذَا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ أَسْكَرَ ، قَالَ : فَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ عَنِ النَّبِيذِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَرَجَعَ وَنَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ قَدِ انْتَبِذُوا نَبِيذًا فِي نَقِيرٍ ، وَحَنَاتِمَ ، وَدُبَّاءٍ ، " فَأَمَرَ بِهَا ، فَأُهْرِيقَتْ ، وَأَمَرَ بِسِقَاءٍ ، فَجُعِلَ فِيهِ زَبِيبٌ وَمَاءٌ ، فَكَانَ يُنْبَذُ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَيُصْبِحُ فَيَشْرَبُهُ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ وَلَيْلَتَهُ الَّتِي يَسْتَقْبِلُ ، وَمِنَ الْغَدِ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ ، فَإِذَا أَمْسَى فَشَرِبَ وَسَقَى ، فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ أَهْرَاقَهُ " .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): Some people came to him and asked him about buying, selling, and trading in alcohol. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: Are you people Muslims? They replied: Yes. So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Selling it and trading in it is not permissible for any Muslim. Whoever among the Muslims does so, his example will be like that of the Children of Israel, for whom fat was made unlawful, so they did not eat it, but they started selling it and consuming its price. Then those people asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) about "Talaa." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: What is Talaa, about which you are asking? They said: Grapes are cooked and then placed in a jug. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: What is meant by "Danan"? The people said: It refers to a specific type of jug. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Does that drink intoxicate? The people said: If drunk in excess, it intoxicates. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Every intoxicating thing is unlawful. Then those people asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) about Nabidh. He said: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey. When he returned, some of his companions had prepared Nabidh in Naqir, Hantam, and Duba’ (i.e., specific types of vessels). By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it was poured out. By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), raisins and water were put in a waterskin (to prepare Nabidh). Nabidh was prepared for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night, and the next morning he drank it. Then the next night came, then the evening of the following day came. When evening came, he drank it and also gave it to others to drink. When the morning of the next day came, he poured it out.

Hadith Grading فضيلة الشيخ الإمام محمد ناصر الدين الألباني صحيح: م دون المثل إلى قوله: فكل مسكر حرام. * [حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الرَّقِّيُّ] قال الشيخ: وثَّقَه المؤلف أبو زُرعَةَ. وقال أبو حاتم: «صدوق ليس بالمتين». وصحَّح له المؤُلِّفُ عِدَّةَ أحاديث، وَادَّعى المُعَلِّقُ هنا أَنَّهُ تُوبِعَ على هذا الحديث، وَإِنَّمَا تُوبِعَ عَلَى بعضه! وَتَرَتَّبَ عَلَى هذا الوهمِ وَهْمٌ آخر، وهو أَنَّهُ عزاه إلى جمع - منهم مسلم -، وهو مع أَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا رواهُ مُفَرَّقاً (6/ 101 و 102)، فليس عنده: «إنَّما مثل ... فَكُلُّ مُسكرٍ حَرَامٌ»! فضيلة الشيخ العلّامة شُعيب الأرناؤوط إسناده صحيح
