Hadith 5355

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ ، وعدة ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلاثَةٌ لا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ صَلاةً ، وَلا يَرْفَعُ لَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ حَسَنَةً : الْعَبْدُ الآبِقُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى مَوَالِيهِ ، فَيَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ السَّاخِطُ عَلَيْهَا زَوْجُهَا حَتَّى يَرْضَى ، وَالسَّكْرَانُ حَتَّى يَصْحُوَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three people whose prayer Allah will not accept, nor will any of their good deeds ascend to the heavens: the runaway slave until he returns to his master and places his hand in his (master's) hand; the woman whose husband is angry with her until he becomes pleased with her; and the person addicted to intoxicants until he gives up his intoxication."
